Even if you come from an Atlassian on-prem/datacentre environment and now want to work with Atlassian Cloud, this is a great opportunity to do so! Base level skill set for this role is a technical Jira system administrator who can setup and configure Jira projects and workflows.On behalf of our Agile Community leveraging our Atlassian Cloud infrastructure this role is responsible for the following:

  • Consult with Agile teams on usage and adoption of Jira Cloud. This includes obtaining requirements for Jira project customizations such as workflow, screen, field, permission scheme configurations’ closely with the Agile Enablement Technical Product Owners and Development.
  • Delivery of Jira and Confluence training and support for the End User community on the full suite of cloud tools within the Agile Tool Kit.
  • Assist Agile teams with reporting and dashboarding metrics.
  • You will be engaged in consulting with Agile Coaches, Product Owners, and
  • Scrum Masters on the best way to leverage and maximize Jira’s potential across our Digital Enterprise.
This role requires an experienced Agile professional with a strong level of Jira and other Atlassian tooling knowledge. Our need is immediate. The successful candidate should have demonstrated progressive history using Jira in an Agile environment for both Scrum and Kanban. Experience with Programs/Portfolio is an assetWhat will you doAs the Jira Consultant, you will act as a hands-on technical resource for Jira. You will also help develop, train, maintain, and improve courses and engage in consulting opportunities by collaborating with other subject matter experts such as Scrum Masters & Agile Coaches. You will also consult directly with Scrum and Kanban teams to establish the best course of action for their technical readiness and training needs. Consult on ways to optimize and improve Jira setup and workflows and identify where functionality can or cannot meet the Agile User Community needs; then provide recommendations for improvements to address our challenges.
  • Actively participate in the Agile Coach & Scrum Master community groups to share best practices and understand Agile team challenges
  • Actively prepare and host training and knowledge sessions with our various User Groups
  • Help train teams on Jira and oversee the integration of Jira training into the existing Agile Training curriculum to ensure effective outcomes for the organization.
  • Enhance, update, and deliver courseware materials including instructor guides, presentations, exercises, and technical documentation.
  • Provides day-to-day operational support to our user community.
  • Quarterly Review of training materials and documentation and keeping them up to date.
  • Working with the Agile communities, identifies future learning needs and facilitates learning and development process, including planning development, delivery, implementation and evaluation of new courses and topics.
  • Assist with the creation of dashboards, reports, and metrics for Agile Teams that roll up at a product or portfolio level (SAFe)
  • Recommend, test and configure Apps (plugins) and advise on API integrations
  • Improve Jira workflows for our Agile teams
  • Have worked with Groovy and Adaptavist ScriptRunner for Jira customizations
  • Experience in Jira (app / integration) development
  • Experience on a collaborative white boarding tool such as Miro (nice to have)
What you need to succeed:
  • Hands on Agile experience using Jira in Scrum / Kanban environment
  • Experience in consulting, analytical thinking, communication, facilitation, project management, instructional design, and training delivery
  • Problem solving, negotiating, and influencing the community on Agile ways of working
  • Facilitation Skills – Effective at facilitating and teaching concepts and ideasUniversity / college degree or diploma in business or related fieldWorking knowledge of Agile applications and DevOpsExperience with Atlassian or Atlassian Cloud, and Jira and Confluence integrationExperience working with Jira data, dashboarding and reporting
Nice to have
  • Previous experience as a Scrum Master or Agile coach
  • University / College degree or relevant certification as a Product Owner or Scrum Master.
  • Experience working as a System Administrator or Systems Analyst
  • Experience with Jira Align is considered an asset, but not required
