Job Description

Subsidiary: Miller Paving LimitedAs a Junior Aggregate Sales Representative, You Will:

  • Be directly responsible for aggregates sales within the region
  • Work closely with the Senior Aggregate Sales Representative to develop an understanding of the customers & market
  • Work closely with our Operations and Quality Control departments to understand our product lines
  • Be directly responsible for the maintenance of current client relationships and the development of new client relationships through customer site visits, face to face meetings, and industry events and social functions
  • Track projects within the market area, identify opportunities, and follow up with pricing
  • Work with other Miller’s business units within the Region of Waterloo & Centre Wellington area to share market information and opportunities for cross-selling
  • Adhere to and execute Miller’s pricing strategies
  • Prepare detailed and timely quotations for customers
  • Understand the market pricing to maximize return
  • Ensure profitability of all customer accounts
  • Provide information to sales manager to assist in their preparation of budgets and financial reviews
  • Maintain activity reports including job tracking and call logs
  • Identify, track, and resolve all client concerns
  • Communicate with the credit department to ensure accurate customer information, accounts in good standing, and assist in collection of payments
  • Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of products with the dispatchers
What Youll Bring:
  • Previous aggregate sales/operation experience, is preferred
  • Self-starting and self-management capability – demonstrate an ability to manage time and priorities
  • Results focused with high energy and a strong work ethic
  • Communicate effectively with others with the ability to establish rapport and develop strong relationships with customers
  • Vehicle for transportation, extensive local travel, valid drivers’ license
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
