Job Description

Customers rely on the company’s expertise to deliver comprehensive solutions that are easy-to-use, fully scalable to help reduce costs, drive additional revenues and most importantly, deliver better services.eleven-x is currently transforming the parking experience through its industry leading parking technology offering eXactpark™, a sensor-based space occupancy monitoring solution and comprehensive software platform, which enables frictionless parking for drivers and parking managers.Your Mandate:You will work collaboratively with the eleven-x team, responsible for all areas relating to daily operations of the accounting department and financial reporting, including: oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, accurate and timely financial statements.Reporting to the Director, Finance & Administration, you will be responsible for the daily accounting functions, payroll, benefit administration, office administration, and reporting of on-hand inventory quantities. You are resourceful, flexible, reliable, and entrepreneurial. You enjoy challenges, while working closely with stakeholders in a fast-paced, small team environment.There is currently one direct report:

  • Senior Financial Associate (Contract)
Your Responsibilities:Finance
  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting team, including: accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, corporate credit card account, general ledger, processing month and year end accounting entries, check runs, wire transfers, debt activity
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
  • Review and provide monthly expense variance analysis and periodic project analyses as needed
  • Quarterly HST/GST tax filings
  • Support fundraising activities and government programming, rebates, tax credits, grants and other funding the Company is eligible to receive as we continue to scale
  • Coordinate and complete annual audit
  • Support the project management process to ensure that invoices are issued to customers in line with project delivery milestones
  • Support the improvement of company systems and procedures, including implementing new software as required (accounting system, expense reporting, travel management, etc.)
  • Support the administration of Employee Stock Option Plan, including granting of stock options, issuance of shares, maintaining employee records and proper documentation on file for all participants
Payroll
  • Manage bi-weekly disbursement for approximately 30 employees
  • Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations are accurate and timely
  • Work with Ceridian to ensure proper reports, tax filings, and other payroll requirements are met
  • Provide payroll information to employees, answering any questions and requests
HR
  • Maintain and ensure proper individual employee records on file, including offer letters, IP agreements
  • Administration of the employee benefits plan
Operational Support
  • Work with the Office Manager to maintain accurate on-hand inventory levels and valuation, including periodic inventory counts
  • Work with our insurance partners to obtain updated certificates of request as needed for our various partners
  • Manage contract administration activities including NDAs, customer agreements, and vendor agreements
  • Some facilities management and coordination with landlord as pertains to our tenant’s lease agreement
  • Support the Office Manager with any shipping requirements from time to time as part of time off coverage
  • Other activities as assigned by the Director of Finance and Admin
What You Will Bring to Our Team:

  • Demonstrate advanced MS Office Suite skills, presentation, and reporting expertise, and experience with Accounting software
  • Post-secondary education with diploma or degree in Accounting
  • Sound knowledge of accounting procedures and practices with 2-5 years of financial and cost accounting experience
  • Experience with consolidated reporting of multiple entities is considered an asset
  • Ability to adapt to changing environment and job requirements, including to learn, research and apply applicable laws, rules, and regulations, research and implement new software and banking solutions to improve efficiencies
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
