Be part of a winning team that leads the way in Enterprise Information Management.The Opportunity:The team is growing and has a need for a hands-on manager to work with engineering and business owner stakeholders to define the technical roadmap, scope and implement projects, analyze requirements, and lead the team, including setting priorities, making assignments and coaching team members for high performance. Potential candidates have a solid background in systems andministration, software development lifecycle, business analysis and service management as well as team leadership.The team is global and very collaborative. We are a fast-paced organization and there are numerous projects in progress at any one time.You are great at:Team leadership: establishing clear goals and priorities for the team, coaching and mentoring team members for high performanceSoftware development lifecycle: working with end users to understand the business need; translating business problems to technical requirements.Requirements analysis and design documentation, build and test, User Acceptance testing. Documenting the solution.Business analysis: working with end users to document their business requirements and translate those into functional requirements and system designFamiliarity with a wide-breadth of technologies; web-based applications, the difference between on premise and Cloud softwareService management to enable the team to provide excellent operational support to end users and IT colleagues. Familiarity with ITIL methodologies.Maintaining systems as required; patching, upgrading, monitoring and troubleshooting are regular activities during business hours, and sometimes outside of business hours to minimize service disruption.What it takes:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, finance or a related area of study or significant experience in a similar role.Minimum 5 years in system administration, technical support or related function supporting customers using OpenText Content Suite and related technologies3-5 years’ experience managing technical teamsBusiness analysis, project management, and software development lifecycle (SDLC). Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile methodologiesExperience with infrastructure design, capacity planning and performance tuningAbility to prioritize multiple requests, make individual assignments for team members, track progress and provide team leadershipExperience with ITIL methodologies and best practices in change, incident and problem managementAt least 5 years experience in system administration or application development in enterprise content management, web-based software applications, application integration, and custom workflowExperience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks, report writing, and other related technologiesAbility to work cross-functionally with IT infrastructure and database administrator teams on both project implementations and application supportExperience with OpenText Content Suite, including Extended ECM (required), eDocs (nice to have)Strong knowledge of Cloud environments (Unix/Windows, Virtualization, Containers, Data Management, CI/CD Management)Experience as a Cloud Systems Administrator (Installation, Troubleshooting, Integrations, Security) preferredGeneral working knowledge of Salesforce (Implementations, Integrations, Administration, etc.)A self-starter attitude, a strong desire to learn as you go, and the belief that you can make a meaningful contribution to your immediate team, the business users that you serve, and to the organization as a whole.OpenTexts efforts to build an inclusive work environment go beyond simply complying with applicable laws.
