Job Description

Are you looking to join the world leader in providing hockey-related technologies and information services If so, now is your chance to bring your obsession for hockey and your passion for technology together.THE ROLE:We are looking for a full-time, experienced Office Administrator who is eager to expand their office and administrative skill set. The ideal candidate will have the drive and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position will support the full organization, including reception, maintaining inventory and stock of office and kitchen supplies, company meetings, ordering weekly office meals, picking up office groceries, incoming and outgoing mail/shipments, and assisting with office duties as needed.This role is located in our Waterloo office: 445 Wes Graham Way, Waterloo ON, N2L 6R2.However at times you may be required to assist our other offices located in Austin and Bedford USA, some travel may be required.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items using various courier services
  • Receives cheques in the mail, and deposits them, while coordinating with the head office accounting team
  • Maintains the general upkeep of the office & ensures the office is running smoothly
  • Point of contact for office building and cleaning crew
  • Regularly checks office & kitchen inventory, orders and picks up replenishment
  • Resolves office-related malfunctions and responds to office maintenance requests or issues
  • Provides support for office meetings, company events & catering arrangements
  • Research and talk with various vendors for office needs (merchandise, equipment, online tools etc)
  • Be a voice on the Joint Health and Safety Committee, ensure the company remains compliant, and training records for all staff are up to date
  • Assist our Diversity Equality and Inclusion Committee, help research and facilitate various events across locations
  • Lead the Social Committee meetings, and execute events, while maintaining budgets for Waterloo and Bedford office
  • Join the Flo Fun Committee meetings, and execute events, while maintaining budgets for Waterloo and Bedford office
  • Assist with arranging travel and accommodations and writing travel letters
  • Assist in writing contracts for events during our busy hockey season
  • Research order and coordinate materials Waterloo office refresh/re-brand project
  • Creating and ordering business cards
  • Ensure availability to help colleagues and employees where necessary
  • Available to work on other projects as they arise
