The course introduces descriptive and inferential statistics; basic probability theory; discrete and continuous random variables with focus on binomial and normal random variables; statistical inference for population means and population proportions, both for one and two populations, with focus on confidence intervals and tests of hypotheses. Furthermore, simple and multiple linear regression methods are covered as well as one-way and two-way ANOVA.
