Utility Worker Food Services - CasualCentrally located in the beautiful Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, Kings RegionalRehabilitation Centre (KRRC) serves some 200 children and adults with physical,intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health and social challenges. KRRCemploys over 600 professional and support staff on a casual, part and full-time basis,making our organization one of the largest employers in the region. Staff areemployed both within the main Centre and in smaller, Community Options homes.This position, reporting to the Food Services Coordinator, is responsible for the performanceof dish-room including sanitary washing of dishes; dining-room, including serving clients withina cafeteria style and kitchen tasks within the facility. Kitchen tasks include pre-prep ofvegetables and sandwich making. All tasks are performed safely, with attention to hygienestandards and per established food handling standards.Working as part of the Food Services team, you will be assisting to prepare and serve 185clients nutritious, attractive meals.As casual staff your reliability is important and you will be scheduled in advance for someshifts and on-call for other shifts.KRRC provides a competitive salary and opportunity for application to permanent jobpostings.These positions are members of the CUPE Local 1472.The successful candidate will have the following:
