Reporting to the Recreation Supervisor for Aquatics, this position provides leadership to aquatic staff and assists with the operation of beach lifeguard service as well as other administration duties.This position is responsible for:assisting with the operation of beach lifeguard service;supervising, developing aquatic staff and facilitating staff training;providing administrative assistance and handling customer service inquiries; and,assuming responsibility for facility operations as required.The successful candidate will: be a high school graduate, have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a lifeguard & swimming instructor, supervisory experience, beach lifeguarding experience, knowledge of waterfront & pool operations, administrative experience or an equivalent combination of training & experience. Microsoft Office Suite and ActiveNet registration system knowledge would be considered an asset.Required Licenses and Current Certificates include: Water Safety Instructor (WSI), National Lifeguard – Pool, Waterpark & Waterfront, CPR Level C, AED, Standard First Aid (or equivalent).
