Job Description

(Casual)Located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, West Vancouver is a vibrant community on the North Shore and home to parks, beaches, and to sports, recreation and arts amenities. Our dedicated staff deliver services, operate facilities and run the programs that enhance the well-being of our community.The District of West Vancouver Community Services Department has immediate openings for Casual Dishwashers at the West Vancouver Seniors’ Activity Centre’s busy cafeteria.Reporting to the Food Services Supervisor, primary duties will include:

  • Ensuring that all dishes are washed, dried and put away
  • Washing, drying and storing laundry as needed
  • Communicating with volunteers who are assisting with tasks
  • Conforming with health and safety regulations
  • Performing other kitchen duties as required
The preferred candidate will have an excellent work ethic along with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work well under strict time constraints. Working knowledge of industrial dishwashers will be considered an asset.The successful candidate will be required to supply an acceptable police information check and a copy of their credentials.
