We are seeking a creative, energetic, organized individual to take on a replacement temporary full-time supervisory role as Library Services Coordinator—Digital Experience. Reporting to the Head of Technology, the successful candidate will be responsible for:Planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating service delivery;Overseeing multiple functions of assigned service delivery portfolio areas;Planning, assigning, checking, supervising & scheduling the work of professional librarians and clerical staff;Interviewing and hiring new staff and volunteers; providing training and development; and conducting performance appraisals;Participating in departmental planning and budget development, monitoring staffing budgets, and participating in the formulation of departmental policies and procedures;Providing information and assistance to the public; andResolving problems concerning patrons, staff, departmental operations, services, and facilities.Performs related work as required.The successful candidate will possess: Master’s Degree in Library Science from a program accredited or recognized as an equivalent by the American Library Association; three or more years of professional library experience; some supervisory experience and/or training; considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of librarianship; and sound knowledge of the methods, techniques, practices, and procedures related to the implementation of library programs, projects and services.The successful candidate will be required to supply a police information check and a copy of their credentials.This posting does not list all the duties of the position, nor does it fully detail the required skills, knowledge and abilities, licenses and certificates required of candidates.
