Company descriptionPods Health Inc. is one of the leading companies in the supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other medical products and is located at 100 Park Royal, West VancouverOur headquarter is based in Vancouver and with various subsidiaries located globally,The company is currently looking for a reliable Operation and Business Manager for its workplace.The Operation and Business Manager will report directly to the CEO/CFO of the Company.The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision and will undertake all the administrative tasks ensuring the smooth running of the company’s office. He/She will be self-motivated and trustworthy and contribute to driving sustainable growth.POSITION OVERVIEWAs the Operation Manager, you will be an integral part of a collaborative process for drafting the strategic plan and crafting the strategic tactics with the leadership team, and you will be focused on executing and integrating the CEOs vision of growth and leadership when it comes to brand experience. You will lead a dedicated and capable team of professionals who are responsible for Business operations, Product procurement and development.You will develop operational structures, systems and long-term business strategies that support current and potential business requirements and secure the functionality of the business to drive extensive and sustainable growth. This includes working with the other managers to develop and report on meaningful performance indicators and metrics, while always looking for new trends in the numbers and providing projections that are critical to the planning and envisioning process.RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIESOperation

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations and working collaboratively with team leaders and subject matter experts to design, execute and evaluate actionable business strategies, plans and procedures;
  • Leading, motivating, and mentoring other employees in order to integrate and align the goals, values and priorities of the business’s essential functions (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Operations, Procurement and Logistics);
  • Evaluating business performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics;
  • Reviewing and analyzing internal operations and identifying areas for process improvement or enhancement;
Procurement
  • Ensures that all procurement is in compliance with regulations and laws and related company procurement practices.
  • Promotes and adopts Sustainable Supply Chain concepts where appropriate.
  • Reviews and monitors purchase requests to ensure compliance.
  • Provides consistent sourcing and contracting activities through the use of standard tendering document templates (primarily Request for Proposals, Request for Qualifications, Request for Tenders), maintaining adherence to established Financial Operations sourcing processes and practices.
  • Review tender and award documentation with respect to the developed evaluation criteria.
  • Responsible for awarding a contract with consensus from the respective department.
  • Responsible for contributing to the category management activities (contract management; effective sourcing research and development; etc.) of Strategic Sourcing.
Business
  • Understanding of global trading, import and export regulations North American and other countries (UK, India, China,...)
  • Plan, direct and evaluate the activities of sales departments in commercial, industrial, wholesale and retail and other establishments
  • Organize regional and divisional sales operations
  • Determine strategic planning related to new product lines
  • Lead sales team in building relationships with business clients and manage negotiations of sales contracts
  • Assist in product development and direct and evaluate the marketing strategies of establishments
  • Establish distribution networks for products and services, initiate market research studies and analyze their findings
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or another relevant degree or diploma (an MBA is an asset)
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of business operations and diverse people management experience, which includes at least five (5) years in the medical field.
  • High level of competency with MS Office Suite including Excel
  • Senior manager level financial and data analysis skills
  • Project management experience
