Our dedicated staff deliver services, operate facilities and run the programs that enhance the well-being of our community.The District of West Vancouver’s Legislative Services Division has an immediate opening for a temporary (approximately 2 years), full-time Records/FIPPA Analyst to assist with the administration and implementation of the corporate Records and Information Management Program, including:Assisting with corporate records storage, retrieval, maintenance, review, & processing;Preparing authorization for destruction forms and assisting in the records destruction process;Assisting with Central Index System revisions and development; andAssisting with the development and provision of corporate records training and related training materials.Receiving, logging, tracking, processing, and managing FIPPA requests;Corresponding with FIPPA applicants, third parties, and the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner;Reviewing, analyzing, and redacting records to ensure legislative compliance;Updating website and intranet with pertinent FIPPA/records information; andOther assigned duties as required.The successful candidate will possess a post-secondary diploma or greater degree in a related field, supplemented by certifications in Records Management or FIPPA plus related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. The successful candidate will also possess the ability to: perform detailed work accurately and efficiently; meet strict deadlines; interact tactfully and effectively with the public; maintain effective working relationships; communicate in a clear and concise manner; work well within a team; maintain complex records; and perform diversified tasks with minimal supervision.The preferred candidate will possess considerable knowledge of both Records Management and FIPPA, including applicable legislation, rules, regulations, and best practices.
