Job descriptionPods Health Inc. is one of the leading companies in the supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other medical products and is located in West Vancouver.The company is currently looking for a reliable Supply Chain and Logistics Officer for its workplace.The Supply Chain and Logistics Officer will report directly to the CFO of the Company, with a dotted-line reporting to the CEOThe ideal candidate will be responsible to identify and evaluate suppliers, arrange for transportation of purchase goods, identify, and develop strategies for addressing logistical barriers, monitor use of materials and resources and ensure quality record keeping. He/ She will be competent in prioritizing, will be self-motivated and trustworthy and contribute to driving sustainable growth.Responsibilities and duties:

• Plan and monitor production schedule to ensure that the goods are manufactured according to the plan and able to be expedited when necessary

• Be responsible for facilitating the on-time scheduling of finished products.

• Control productivity and costs per order/project

• Monitor and report the daily/weekly production plan to CFO/CEO when project/contract starts

• Communicate with local quality and procurement/production teams concerning any quality or process issues at the contracted manufacturer which has effects on delivery commitments.

• Manage both logistics activities : Site-logistics / Import & Export logistics at the most cost-effective way.

• Select and operate shipping, forwarder, transportation, warehouse providers and maintain a good level of services performance .

• Work closely with the 3rd party logistics provider to manage operational cost to service on Freight

• Liaise with logistics companies to resolve any international and domestic shipment issues raised.

• Develop a cost-effective strategy for sampling(domestic & export orders).

• Arrange local transportation, monitor every customer order from schedule commitment to final shipment and ensure on-time delivery.

• Be responsible for all warehousing operations, inventory control and security.

• Prepare and analyze nventory reports for management.

• Optimize supply chain processes to increase revenue margin.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Supply Chain and Logistics Officer or any other relevant role.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to handle highly confidential information appropriately.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage their own activities and office workflow under tight deadlines.

• Must be flexible with schedule due to special projects that could be assigned.

• Ability to collaborate with individuals at various levels of the organization.

• Excellent time management and organization skills.

• Good analytical skills and the ability to assess moderately complex information from multiple sources and draw logical conclusions.

• Bachelor’s degree or studies in Logistics, Business administration, Transportation, or supply chain management or in a related field would be helpful although not mandatory.

• Salary: 48,000 -52,000 per year
