Our dedicated staff deliver services, operate facilities and run the programs that enhance the well-being of our community.The West Vancouver Transit Department (Blue Bus) is now accepting applications for a permanent full-time Transit Service Coordinator I.This position is responsible for the day to day scheduling of drivers and buses to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of Transit service. The preferred candidate will possess: the ability to deliver exceptional customer service in person, phone and email; the ability to understand and interpret departmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; a flexible schedule for working varied shifts; the ability to maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external contacts; proficiency with MS Word and Excel; and skill at troubleshooting complex logistical problems.The successful candidate is familiar with the North Shore and surrounding area, and possesses Grade 12 education supplemented by computer, and customer service courses or a combination of education and practical experience in a similar environment. Relevant public transit or charter bus operations experience would be considered an asset.
