Your Opportunity:Make a significant impact on patient and resident focused health care as an Administrative Support II - Nutrition Food Service (NFS) Worker. NFS is a provincial service that is committed to providing nutritious, healthy, high quality meal service to patients, residents, staff, visitors and the community. This position is located at the Wetaskiwin Hospital and Care Centre in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. Wetaskiwin is located just 70 km south of Edmonton and 30km south of Leduc. It serves as a major center for some of the surrounding communities and about 13,000 people call this city home. Under the general supervision of a Supervisor, you will be responsible to: Receives and processes catering orders; prepares financial reports; vendor management; processes internal and external payment of event costs; adheres to safety, sanitation, and food preparation standards in accordance with AHS policies and guidelines; completes cash handling duties; completes other duties as required. Follow established procedures to maintain patient information related to provision of meal service; prepares financial reports; processes food preferences, food allergies, intolerances and meal tallies; processes menus and/or tray tickets; effectively communicates with other departments on matters related to patient meals, snacks, nourishment supplies; completes other duties as required. The successful candidate will be able to: Work in a fast paced environment with speed and accuracy. Work under pressure in high stress situations. Demonstrate critical thinking skills and initiative. Communicates effectively in English with customers, patients, co-workers, and other hospital departments.
