Green Nation NaturalEvening Supervisor Job DescriptionThe Supervisor position is primarily responsible for working collaboratively with the Assistant Store Manager (SM) and Owner to manage, maintain and supervise day-to-day retail operations and activities. The Supervisor will drive sales and create an environment that is engaging, educational and inspiring to customers and team members. This position is responsible for closing (and sometimes opening) of the store, building rapport with clients and employees, upholding brand standards and increasing overall sales. Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays based on store needs.This position requires someone who is energetic and highly motivated, with strong lead generation abilities to become a part of a fun and dynamic team in an industry rapidly growing and newly developing cannabis marketplace. The Supervisor reports to the Store Manager and owner of Green Nation Natural.What is RequiredAs an integral part of the Leadership Team you will know how to react to the business needs, to account for the fluctuation in traffic throughout the day. You will help lead the team with positive coaching reinforcement and continuous communication.You will inform the team about promotions, new products and sales opportunities. You will also attend to our customers in their pleased and displeased states. Your leadership and interpersonal skills will allow you to transition negative moments into positive outcomes and customer retention. You will be an integral part of inventory.Requirements and Qualifications: · QCW Certification· Customer Service or Retail Experience· Desire and ability to develop a positive, in -depth understanding of cannabis· Detailed orientated and able to handle cash,· Proficient with Computers, POS register and all sales transactions· Good track record for demonstrating sales and customer service skills· Time management and organizational skills· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently/unsupervised· Exemplary communication, problem- solving skills· Ability to learn and train and educate others in processes, procedures and products· Experience in supervising others· Able to lift and carry 30 lbsThe Responsibilities· Help to support and create a team environment by respecting co-workers.· Assist the management team in the training and supervising of employees.· Assist with monitoring inventory and tracking SalesTypical responsibilities of the job include: Team and Sales Support:· Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory bodies including Federal and Provincial, employment standards, health and safety and AGLC, GNN.

  • Motivate and inspire team members to be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and hardworking.
  • Support GNN and team members, provide positive and constructive feedback so that they grow professionally.
  • Enforce written company procedures and policies as changes to policy and/or regulations occur and ensure compliance among team.
  • Strong ability to lead by example, be accessible and responsive to all team members questions, suggestions, and concerns to deal with any circumstances that may arise in a high-volume retail store.
  • Utilize customer and team member feedback to readily implement changes to improve the customer experience.
· Assists customers in the selection of merchandise, while providing information about the product.· Ensures customer service standards are upheld by listening to customer’s wants and needs and providing product information when required.· Suggestive Selling·2) Daily Store Operations:
  • Perform all daily opening and closing procedures in accordance to assigned shift responsibilities
  • Enforce existing store standards in the absence of store manager or assistant manager.
  • Assist with Federal and Provincial Government Auditors with inventory, sales, and compliance audits
· Monitoring and Tracking Sales to Ensure Achievement of Monthly & Quarterly Goals
  • Coordinate with Owners and GNN to perform daily/monthly/yearly inventory audits and reconciliations
· Ensuring that product displays are attractive, space efficient, adequately stocked and secure.· Ensure all expired/damaged/returned product is logged and disposed of according to regulations.· Maintains store appearance, ongoing cleaning and disinfecting of high touch surfaces.
  • Assist in receiving and ensuring that all wholesale deliveries are compliant and accurate compared to invoices, etc.
  • Provide daily correspondence via email and manager’s log, with the team members as needed
  • Ensure building security is upheld

The position requires constant standing throughout a 7-8 hour shift. Must be able to lift 30lbs to assist in inventory and moving stock. Considering cash and high commodity products on hand, the store is at risk of robbery/theft. Working with computers will be required daily such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Point of Sales System. Days are sporadic in activity, from fast paced to slow. Two days a week (Thursday and Fridays) are commonly high traffic days, where sales are highest and getting through customers quickly is a requirement. Regular interactions with public are a requirement of the job. Adapting to different personalities, varying social skills and communication styles to maintain good relations and preserve the safety of self and others. Confident in communicating with law enforcement which includes previous RCMP officers and AGLC Inspectors. Belligerent behavior or intoxicated bystanders may be encountered and must be reported to RCMP to assist if it is creating a nuisance or if there are safety concerns. Covid regulations must be adhered to and adapt to store capacity. Cleaning products are used in the upkeep of the store and high touch surfaces are routinely cleaned and wiped down.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:
