The FRN (Family Resource Network) is funded through the Family & Community Resilience Division and has been created to provide Alberta families, children and youth aged 0-18 with evidence based and informed services. The services offered by the FRN will include child development, well-being supports, caregiver capacity building supports, and social connections and supports. The FRN will recognize and respond to the unique and diverse experiences the users have. The FRN will provide a continuum of prevention and early intervention services including universal, targeted and intensive programming dependent on the need of the users.Responsibilities include but are not limit to: - Work effectively and diligently with parents- Home Visitation is a required FRN program that provides in-home parenting education and family support services to expectant parents and those with children newborn to age six, with optimal entry into the program within a child’s first three months- Home Visitation programs are centered in the family home with trained Home Visitors providing families with information and support that helps them improve their parenting skills and provide a safe, nurturing environment for their children- Home Visitation programs often serve families who face challenges that may place their children at risk and keep them from developing to their full potential.- Provide mentorship and guidance in supporting families and parents with understanding healthy early childhood development (ages 0 – 6 yrs)- Collect and prepare data to ensure proper reporting in accordance with stakeholder deadlinesQualifications: - Diploma or Degree in the Human Services Field and minimum 2 years human services experience- Committed to provide common sense, understandable and useful parenting skills- Extensive knowledge of parent/child relationships and early childhood development- Knowledge of community resources and services- Have the ability to model appropriate parenting skills- Strong organizational/time management skills- Ability to work as a member of a team- Good decision making and problem-solving skills- Be flexible and have strong interpersonal skills.- Standard First Aid – Level C CPR, Suicide Intervention Training & De-Escalation Training- Intervention Record & Criminal Record Checks- Class 5 Divers License, Clean Drivers Abstract and reliable vehicle for client transportation required- Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous Culture considered an assetCompetition will remain open until a successful candidate is chosen.We thank all that apply.
