Job Description

Inventory Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Proactively maintains inventory accuracy, both physically and systematically by monitoring, validating, and tracking inventory moves associated with all processes. This includes quantity on hand, location, description, and other attributes
  • Investigate and escalate inventory discrepancies and strives to continuously improve procedures and processes to improve quality and accuracy
  • Ensure accuracy of cycle counts and item locations
  • Schedules, coordinates, and performs planned cycle counts, and physical counts
  • Investigate inventory variances, determine, and perform RCA (root cause analysis) and recommend CAPA (corrective action and preventive action)
  • Coordinates control of damaged and defective products ensuring that any necessary inventory changes and adjustments are recorded
  • Provide feedback and where necessary regarding operational accuracy from the results of audits, inventory counts, and system related user errors
  • Works closely to control inventory flow and placement to maximize efficiency
  • Process damaged, defective, surplus, obsolete, or scrap inventory
  • Assist with data entry and processing as required
  • Assist in data collection and analysis as required
  • Travel is not required
  • After-hours on-call product support is not required
Parts and Product Configurator Responsibilities and Activities
  • Ensure parts information is accurate in Visibility and Documoto to support on-line parts sales.
  • Use of Visibility; and if necessary alternate software, as required
  • Assist in documentation of On-line processes for ease of use and completeness of information.
  • Review and suggest alternatives regarding engineering drawings and fabrication processes based on production experience
  • Review engineering drawings and instructions for ease of use, complete information, and accuracy; the desired outcome is increased production throughput, and repeatability through the fabrication process while minimizing rework, scrap, and warranty claims
  • Tests and measure raw materials, components, or assemblies for function, operation, accuracy, or assembly to verify adherence to desired specifications
  • Review of product checklists, consistency of data/information, photographs, and storage of these items for easy recall and review
  • Support Parts and Service department as required

  • Service orientated with strong customer service skills and commitment to quality of work.
  • Experience using a forklift is considered an asset

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Two or three years of work-related skill, knowledge or experience
  • High School/GED with good math skills
  • Jobs with electrical, electronic, may require more formal education through technical schools.
  • Interpersonal skills; friendly and outgoing personality
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP software
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
