Join a supportive team environment that provides challenging work in the legal field.As Office Manager for the Branch, you will be responsible for the operation of the Wetaskiwin office, including supervision and management of approximately 6 positions. In consultation with the Deputy Chief Prosecutor, the Office Manager will be responsible for identifying and planning for the ever-changing needs of the office and will be the key contact and principal resource person for the day-to-day administration of the Branch. You will outline staffing plans, provide updates on various programs and assess staffing requirements as well as provide them with challenging opportunities for skill development.The Office Manager is responsible for budget management and administration of human resource processes such as recruitment and performance management as well as all personnel and payroll related matters. You will also oversee many office requirements such as infrastructure needs, information technology requirements, telecommunication requests and equipment and contract renewals.A comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice system and its processes will enable you to effectively coordinate the resources and work flow to ensure the overall smooth operation of the office.To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must be able to work independently and handle a high volume workload while meeting necessary deadlines. An attention to detail and an ability to encourage and work as part of a team will be necessary to succeed in this supervisory role.QualificationsTwo year diploma in a related field plus a minimum of two years progressively responsible experience in a Legal Assistant role.Experience in criminal justice and supervision is preferred.Equivalencies will be considered on the basis of: 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.Required
