Your Opportunity:The position is required to take action when the ability of the MDRD to meet hospital demand is jeopardized. The position must ensure that Medical Device Reprocessing Department (MDRD) provides clean and sterile supplies and instruments to meet established standards. These functions are carried out according to various Standards of Practice, i.e. CSA, AORN, AAMI, Infection Control etc. The position ensures that the work environment promotes employee safety, satisfaction and productivity and effectively meets the clients needs.Description:The Supervisor Medical Device Reprocessing Department reports directly to the Central Zone Manager, Medical Device Reprocessing Department (MDRD) and is responsible for overseeing and managing all facets of the operation in the above-mentioned area, and this is done in conjunction with the Central Zone Manager. The position is responsible for determining that departmental policies & procedures and guidelines are kept current and, at a high level, makes decisions that will expand or limit re-processing services available to all medical personnel throughout the hospital.
