Job Description

White Rock Veterinary Hospital is looking for an RVT to join our amazing team! We are a larger hospital with 4 DVMs and 3 RVTs, and we have been proudly AAHA accredited since 1987! We are also passionate about High quality patient and client care, as well as Fear Free handling. Our RVT team is experienced and well positioned to mentor new or new-ish grads. The White Rock team in general is a very calm group that gets along easily with everyone, and we really enjoy the amazing work we do! We also have a lovely older clinic cat named#39;Sophie #39; to get your daily kitty cuddle fix in! Please note that this position would be a term position for a minimum of 1 year to cover one of our RVT #39;s maternity leave, with a possibility of extension or permanent position. About The Role:Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian. RVT License is a requirement.Please note this is a term position to cover a 12 month maternity leave from April 1, 2024 to April 1, 2025 with the possibility of extension.Expected Wage Range: $25.00 - $33.00 /hourQualifications:

  • Registered Veterinary Technician or Technologist
  • Successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program
  • Passed the VTNE or are eligible to write the VTNE
  • Be in good standing with the Provincial Regulatory Association
