AZ Company Driver Flatbed Local and Regional Division – Windsor TerminalAndy Transport is currently looking for AZ Company Drivers to join our growing team in the Flatbed Division at our Windsor location. Drivers of flatbeds must have experience combined with physical strength to succeed at this role. This position will be responsible for local and cross-border transportation of over-sized or wide-load items on a flatbed trailer.· Operate and drive articulate trucks with roll tight trailer· Start and finish dayshift in Windsor· Willing to cross the border· Make sure the freight is balanced correctly over the axles and loaded properly· Secure the cargo according to the regulations established by the authorities (type and number of tie downs is important to be known)· Able to handle and secure the tarps properly or any other type of covers· Monitor load limits, using the right tie downs, trailer sizes and weight limits· Record data regarding the freight’s weight, and hours and mileage traveled· Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver #39;s hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods· Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles· Communicate effectively with the public, customers, and co-workers both verbally and in written form· Provide feedback to supervisor regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems· Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
