Job Description

  • Build sub-assembliesamp; assemblies to specification
  • Modify components as needed (using manual hand tools and/or Bridgeport, lathe, etc.)
  • Read blueprints
  • Prepare components for finishing (paint, nickel plate, etc.)
  • Perform assembly according to build standards
  • Maintain clean work environment
  • Ensure excellent workmanship and professional atmosphere
  • Ensure safety of all personnel and equipment
Expectations:
  • Able to properly plan and work through any assembly issues
  • Responsible for maintaining proper build standards and informing Project Assembly Leader of any assembly problems or drawing changes
  • Determine effective solutions for work at hand
  • Must interact with co-workers, as well as have skills to interact with customers in a service call situation
  • Good communication skills are required to interact with co-workers, suppliers, and customers from time to time
  • Ensure assembly work is planned to minimize waste. Organize work area and work flow to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Responsible for accurate time keeping and signed out equipment
  • Work day shift (8-10 hours and overtime as needed)
  • Reliable transportation to and from work (Must hold valid driver’s licence)
  • Ability to travel and perform customer service calls in the US and Mexico
