Job Description

BIOVECTRA Inc. is a leading bio-science business in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, focused on contract manufacturing and product development of active pharmaceutical ingredients, pharmaceutical intermediates, and bioreagents.BIOVECTRA Inc. has an opening for a Controls & Instrumentation Technician. This is a permanent, full-time position located in Windsor, NS.The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing and maintaining calibration program in a qualified state.
  • Installing and maintaining instrumentation/electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshooting process control system.
  • Assisting in programing PLC to correct system issues.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting and correcting operational/maintenance issues.
  • Maintaining IO, motor lists and any o the r documentation as required for efficient system operation.
  • Assisting in pricing equipment and consumables for capital equipment.
  • Assigning and scheduling maintenance operations including tracking work orders, maintaining spare parts inventory, and maintaining calibration and maintenance history of plant equipment. using Blue Mountain software. Including review and verification of good documentation practices on work orders.
The successful candidate for this position should have:
  • Trade Certificate as Electrical Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Electronics technician.
  • Licensed/registered Industrial Electrician would be an asset.
  • Five years’ experience in an industrial environment.
  • Strong PLC programming skills would be an asset.
