Job Description

Our company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC, ventilation, piping, utilities, P amp;ID, food processing, AutoCAD, project start up, commissioning, and customer onsite support. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, have excellent communication skills, and be willing to learn and grow with the company.Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior engineers in the design and implementation of mechanical systems including HVAC, ventilation, piping, and utilities.
  • Prepare and interpret P amp;ID diagrams for various projects.
  • Preparing mass and energy balances
  • Sizing and specification of process and process utility equipment
  • Conduct on-site surveys and collect data for project requirements.
  • Use AutoCAD to create and modify mechanical drawings.
  • Provide technical support during project start-up and commissioning stages.
  • Assist in testing and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
  • Provide on-site support to clients as required.
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions.
  • Proactively identify process challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Equipment procurement and bid evaluation
  • Assisting project management with the development of project scope, budget and schedule for all process related work
  • Helping to coordinate the schedules and work of contractors for process equipment installation
  • Prepare preliminary sub-contractor scope of work
  • Work with clients, vendors, and suppliers to develop cost estimates and proposals
  • Manage cost and time constraints.
  • Overseeing process and utility equipment installations
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in HVAC, ventilation, piping, utilities, and food processing design.
  • Proven work experience in process engineering.
  • Excellent technical skills.
  • Knowledge of process related standards.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
