About Craft Coast CanningCraft Coast Canning Ltd. is a mobile craft beverage canning operation that services the Maritime craft beverage market. Our clients include prominent craft beer and cider producers in the region.We supply cans, packaging materials, brewery chemicals, scientific instruments, and other adjunct materials for craft brewing. In addition to our popular mobile canning service, our other services include graphic design, quality control, co-packaging, laboratory testing, repair & maintenance of packaging equipment, engineering, and consulting services for everyone from small craft breweries to international brands.About the roleThe Mobile Canning Supervisor will be responsible for the daily management of the NS crew to ensure daily completion of tasks, provides leadership, and performs some administrative tasks such as tracking crew hours and submitting expenses. This role is a combination of front-line and strategic leadership and will work closely with the NS team and customers while reporting directly to the Mobile Canning Manager for NS and NB. Responsible for monitoring the overall canning process, enforcing quality, maintenance, and safety standards, and to assist troubleshootingOur ideal candidate will have a passion for the craft beverage industry and servicing the needs of our clients. All employees are committed to the growth and support of the Maritime craft beverage industry.LocationCraft Coast Canning Ltd. is based in Fredericton, NB. Although our Warehouses and Production facilities are based outside of Fredericton, we service the entire Maritimes. Our facility in Nova Scotia is located in Windsor, however, this role will be primarily shifting among our customers’ facilities.Responsibilities

  • Receive the production scheduled and coordinates shifts with the customers, while ensuring that the crew is arriving at agreed times for canning
  • Responsible for planning the work and confirming the necessary resources are available to complete the work, which would include ensuring that packaging equipment vehicles and trailers are well maintained and making sure that the necessary supplies and spare parts are available
  • Completing sheets reports: tracking and submitting the hours and expenses biweekly
  • Ensure Safety and Quality are at the forefront of all activities
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical & pneumatic systems
  • Adjust canning machines and repair or replace defective parts
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on canning machines
  • Ensuring the craft coast canning’s standard for customer experience, product quality, seam integrity, and sanitization of the machines are upheld
  • Customer interactions and taking customer feedback and suggestions to improve the canning process
  • Ensuring that driving company vehicles are following the corporate policies and provincial regulations
Applicants should have the following minimum qualifications:
  • A valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma.
  • Flexibility with hours and duties, and a willingness to travel frequently.
  • A strong interest in the craft beverage industry.
  • Solid leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with customers.
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in developing technical skills (you will be setting up, operating, and troubleshooting automated packaging equipment).
