Additional information about the Company can be found at www.abctechnologies.com.Job Summary:A Program Manager in our Windsor Mold Tooling Division facility plays a crucial role in overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of plastic injection molds. This role drives project success by effectively managing resources, fostering collaboration, mitigating risks, and maintaining a focus on quality and continuous improvement.Job Responsibilities:Your supervisor may from time to time ask you to perform other related duties not specifically included in this job description. This job #39;s key responsibilities include:

  • Project Management: The Program Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, from inception to completion. This involves creating project plans, setting timelines, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Customer Communication: Program Managers act as the primary point of contact for customers, maintaining regular communication to understand their requirements, provide updates on project progress, and address any concerns or issues that may arise. Daily communication with external customers and internal engineering/ manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues related to part and tool designs, open issues, part concessions, feasibility, timelines, etc.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Injection mold tooling projects often involve multiple departments within the company, such as engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and sales. The Program Manager facilitates communication and collaboration between these departments to ensure that all aspects of the project are aligned and on track. The Program Manager is responsible for acting as liaison between the production and the customer to ensure that required information for APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), timing, specifications and costs are met.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies is an essential aspect of the Program Manager #39;s role. This includes anticipating challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle and taking proactive measures to address them to minimize their impact on project timelines and budgets. Demonstrates knowledge on the customer, the commodity, and the specific job.
Job Qualifications:
  • Education: A diploma/degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field would be considered an asset. Any coursework or specialization in project management, supply chain management, or business administration is also beneficial.
  • 5+ years in a Program Management or Engineering Leader capacity
  • 5+ years of experience in designing or leading tools
  • Experienced in two shot rotary tools/lighting tools would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in injection molding and tooling processes is highly desirable. This may include previous roles in manufacturing, tooling design, mold making, or related areas.
  • Prior experience in project management or program management is essential. This could include roles such as project engineer, project coordinator, or similar positions where you have managed projects from start to finish.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to create project plans, set timelines, allocate resources, and track progress.
