We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of advisory and over 30 technical environmental and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability, we are Making Sustainability Happen.As our new Environmental Practitioner, you will play an important role on our Land Quality and Remediation team in Winnipeg.Job DescriptionRoleYour passion for fieldwork and the environment will see you executing and leading a variety of programs related to the assessment, monitoring, management, and remediation of contaminated sites. No two days will be the same as you lead and support different aspects of varied projects at a range of urban and remote sites including upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas facilities, commercial and industrial properties, and federal and municipal owned sites.Your knowledge and experience will be invaluable to our team and will see you involved in the full life cycle of projects as you assist the project manager with budgeting, planning, coordinating, and executing projects, data analysis and reviews, and reporting. At SLR, your demonstrated initiative and can-do attitude will be rewarded with responsibilities and opportunities that will challenge you and allow you significant opportunities for personal and professional growth.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Participation in all facets of environmental or contaminated site projects including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, remediation programs, and long-term environmental monitoring of sites Participate in fieldwork programs involving sampling and monitoring of soil, groundwater, soil vapour, surface water, decommissioning and remediation programs, and remediation system operation and maintenance Assist with the preparation of a variety of technical reports Support project managers with project planning, coordination, reporting, and tracking schedules and budget Assist with technical and financial proposal preparationWorking @ SLRWith us, there is no doubt you’ll grow your subject-matter expertise and industry knowledge.
