Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, inclusive team aimed at shaping the future of HR at Value Partners Investments. Reporting to the Director of HR, the HR Generalist will assist in a variety of aspects related to the day-to-day HR-related tasks of the company while also supporting our organization in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The successful candidate will provide full lifecycle HR support to Department leaders at the Manager level and below. The position will work closely with other key groups in the organization and have a well-rounded knowledge on Talent Acquisition, Learningamp; Development, Talent Management, Compensation, HRIS, Payrollamp; Benefits to deliver high quality, seamlessly integrated operational HR support for the business, the employees, and the managers.Key ResponsibilitiesExpectations:•Support end-to-end recruitment and selection processes.•Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees.•Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resource system and audits for accuracy and compliance.•Provide advice and support to managers in an advisory capacity regarding, employee issues, performance management and interpretation of HR policies, programs, and legislation.•Creates, maintains and audits personnel files to ensure compliance with applicable employment standards, legislation, and regulatory requirements.•Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.•Responsible to help coach and guide managers on having performance conversations with employees.•Promote a positive workplace culture through engagement initiatives.•Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.•Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development.•Monitor employee climate to identify issues/trends and develop recommendations for problem solving with business units, as appropriate. Develop solutions to implement with the business.•Maintains familiarity with best practices to ensure employees are treated fairly.•Other miscellaneous duties and special projects as assigned.
