Job Description

Location: This is a hybrid position. You have the option to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays. The other days are in the office located at 25 De Baets St., Winnipeg.Summary:Reporting to the Planningamp; Inventory Manager, the Inventory Analyst supports the Inventory, Planning and Category Management teams through forecasting, replenishment, reporting and management of category inventory levels in order to reach category goals including sales, inventory turns, retail in-stocks and fill percent.Responsibilities:

  • Create forecast based on historical sales analysis for category management;
  • Manage forecast via in-season trending and support regular run rate;
  • Replenish/Book to support forecast demand via the replenishment tool;
  • Forecast to support promotional events;
  • Create and generate reports to improve inventory accuracy and reduce long/aged inventory;
  • Update and maintain merchandise financial plans to support inventory objectives;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in business administration or an equivalent combination of related education and experience is preferred;
  • 1-2 Years of analysis and forecasting experience in a business environment;
  • Intermediate Excel skills;
  • Understanding of the logistical cycle in a retail environment;
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with cross-functional departments;
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic, continuous improvement environment
  • Knowledge and/or experience in outdoor activities and associated products are an asset.
