Your Role:Your main role with Standard Manufacturers will be to support manufacturing and maintain all physical assets throughout the plant.As well as, perform routine maintenance on equipment, machinery, and company facility as per Standard Manufacturers Services lean initiatives. Qualifications and Responsibilities:
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Reads blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Adjust, repair or replace defective parts, on machinery, equipment and establishment.
  • Communicates and problem solve verbally and/or in writing to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
  • Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
  • Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools.
  • Assist in startup and shut down testing on new and existing machinery and equipment.
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls would be considered an asset
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests.
  • Consistently works in a safe manner, understands all applicable safety, environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain software and maintenance inspection records.
  • Support Standard Manufacturers Services operational excellence initiative(s).
  • Any other duties that may be assigned.
Employment Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Is a self-starter with strong communication skills with a high level of positive energy.
  • Ability to function effectively in a high-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, can multitask and is detail-oriented.
  • Understanding of the lean experience or being open to it.
  • Ability to transition with change.
  • Willing to work flexible hours as required.
  • Experience working in a CNC machine shop or aluminum foundry would be considered an asset.
