INTERNAL/EXTERNAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY October 6, 2023 Position: Mobile Outreach Helper (2 Positions) Classification: Tuesday – Saturday 11 pm to 7 am (Overnights/ Weekends) Location: Honouring the Spirit of Our Little Sisters Site Starting Salary: Subject to Qualifications Background: The Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre is seeking an individual as Outreach Helper with the Mobile Outreach Program. The successful candidate will be responsible to facilitate and support at-risk youth. This position will be a part of the Community Outreach team and work with the Street Reach Teams. The candidate must have the ability to prepare and do presentations to other organizations/groups working in the field. This worker must be able to complete quarterly reports and participate in program evaluations. This worker must also have the working knowledge to provide supports and advocate for youth working towards independent living. Qualifications:Childamp; Youth Care Diploma or acceptable equivalent and related experience. Knowledge of Sexual Exploitation and Human Trafficking. Knowledge of Addictions issues. Program development and facilitation skills. Needs to have the ability to work cooperatively with others and contribute as a team member. Ability to work under stressful situations. Knowledge of the Child Welfare Legislation and standards. Strong verbal and written communication skills with extensive computer skills. Understanding of Indigenous values and community issues. Must have first Aid/CPR Certification and NVCI. Must have a Valid Class 5 Manitoba Drivers License and access to a vehicle.
