Job Description

Seymour Pacific Developments is looking for a highly detail-oriented individual with deep understanding of industry standards. Working in conjunction with multiple departments, the Quality Control Manager based out of Winnipeg, MB will lead our Quality Control team across the region (Manitoba, Ontarioamp; Saskatchewan) ensuring that quality is a top priority on all residential construction projects. The role will encourage employee buy-in of new quality processes and must be able to overcome resistance to change. Working closely with Senior Management, the incumbent must also develop effective quality measurement tools, identifying gaps, and developing action plans for correcting shortfalls. .Your contributions to the team:

  • Manage the quality control process on new construction builds.
  • Manage the maintenance of quality control programs, including audits.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with quality control programs.
  • Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.
  • Assess the quality of the systems and processes in place in order to identify shortfalls.
  • Analyze reports to track inconsistencies and identify core problems in the department.
  • Produce monthly reports and present findings.
  • Ensure the appropriate retention of quality control documentation.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local and national standards and legislation.
  • Keep current on new processes and developments in the field of Quality Control
  • Responsible for assessing personnel and/or position gaps in the organization and requesting needed hires.
  • Work with construction management staff to complete warranty claims from the client
What you need to be successful:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the residential construction industry
  • Minimum 3 years’ working experience in a team lead capacity
  • Able to compile and analyze reports, identifying and assessing gaps.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented.
  • Strong negotiating, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Solid understanding of building envelope systems
  • Knowledge of building electrical and mechanical systems
