Job Description

COG Developments Inc.Framer – Job Summary and DescriptionWe are a Property Development company with multi-unit, residential developments in Wolfville and Kentville. We are looking for a Carpenter, with vast Framing experience to join our team. The Framer will report to our Project Manager and will be relied upon as our lead in-house framer. If you have experience in the field, especially with framing multi-family, residential buildings, this may be the position for you!What your responsibilities will be:

  • Reliably read and interpret blueprints to determine dimensions required
  • Accurately measure, cut, and shape lumber and other building materials
  • Attach building materials using screws, nuts, bolts, etc.
  • Performing repairs on existing framework structures that may be damaged
  • Examine building materials to identify defects
  • Analyze building plans to identify any potential structural problems
  • Construct framework for buildings, as well as window frames, door frames, and staircases
  • Keep a clean workspace to maintain a safe working environment
  • Bring a positive attitude and show up on time each day
  • Work as a team or as an individual
  • Show respect for the worksite, co-workers, and the community
  • Work with unexperienced coworkers, and teach them to assist as needed
