Job Description

ONLY APPLY if you have your own transportation as we are NOT on a bus route.We are looking to hire an upbeat Front Desk Agent, who is both professional in appearance and has the manners appropriate to the hospitality industry, to assist with checking guests in and out of our establishment. The Front Desk Agent will assist guests with inquiries, requirements, issues and/or complaints. The Front Desk Agent will be responsible for receiving guest payments and for balancing the cash at end of your shift. You will need to have a basic level of math skills. You will need to familiarize yourself with the hotel layout, be up to date on special offers, local attractions and understand the in-house restaurants operation to facilitate guests dining reservations to make recommendations and be proficient with operating the hotel front desk switchboard. You will receive and deal with guests in a professional and pleasant manner at all times.To ensure success you will be professional and pleasant in challenging situations and take responsibility for the satisfaction of guests from arrival to departure. Preferred candidates will be positive, pro-active, and be skilled in a fast-paced environment. You will need to have social skills to interact with guests and co-workers.Front Desk Agent Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and thanking guests in a sincere, friendly manner.
  • Professional presentation and manners are required.
  • Checking guests in on arrival and out on departure.
  • Posting charges to appropriate guest accounts.
  • Anticipating and addressing guests needs, and resolving their problems and complaints.
  • Assisting guests with disabilities.
  • Operating front desk switchboard efficiently and assisting with all inquiries.
  • Taking and making reservations.
  • Ensuring that guest requests are properly noted and delivered.
  • Collaborating and communicating with other internal departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Complying with company procedures and safety policies.
  • Performing duties on a daily checklist.
Front Desk Agent Requirements:
  • High school diploma or suitable equivalent.
  • 1+ years Front Desk Agent or relatable experience necessary.
  • Well-groomed, professional appearance with social skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are a necessity.
  • Must be a Team player.
  • Physically agile, and able to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be Available to work shifts, over weekends and on holidays.
