Job Description

Old Orchard Inn is looking for a Line Cook with Prep to prepare high-quality meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations and our company standards.We are not on a bus route and you will require your own transportation.You are within 20 minutes travelling distance of the hotel.Responsibilities:

  • Experience Line Cook needed.
  • Following instructions relating to the timely preparation of food orders, organizing workstations, and assisting other as needed.
  • Organizing & cleanliness of all work stations; kitchen area.
  • Able to ensure that the refrigerators, storerooms, kitchen area are kept clean and tidy.
  • Preparation of ingredients for menu items.
  • Storing food at the correct temperature for food safety.
  • Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas.
  • Working in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Food handling certification preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques.
  • Proven experience working as a Cook.
  • The ability to follow recipes.
  • The ability to work in a team.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Work in an environment that is fast-paced.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Own transportation.
