Job Description

Competition #21-52-AU:Acadia seeks a Manager, Enterprise Systems in Technology Services to provide management over the Universitys Enterprise Systems and is responsible for the planning, support, maintenance, resource scheduling and integration of these systems. Reporting to the Executive Director, Technology Services, the Manager, Enterprise Systems is a key member of the Technology Services team. Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Collaborating with directors and managers from all areas of the university to identify, document and prioritize Enterprise Systems projects and maintenance activities.
  • Working with the Technology Services management team to set project priorities, establish operating policies and procedures, and ensure that a sustainable plan for technology is implemented for the university.
  • Providing leadership to Enterprise Systems staff to implement the many projects that make up the Enterprise Systems component of the university technology plan, and ensure an appropriate balance of planning, project work, maintenance, and professional development for the Enterprise Systems group.
  • Maintaining vendor relationships with ERP vendors and managing a large budget, reporting on changes and requirements for funding to the Technology Services management team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • We are seeking a candidate who has a bachelors degree in the area of Computing/Technology with knowledge of Data Warehouse and Enterprise Architecture with programming and database experience.
  • Candidates must have ten years of relevant professional experience including previous experience as a manager and training and/or experience in project management.
  • The successful candidate will have expertise and in-depth understanding of current and emerging information technologies and best practices with experience in managing vendor relationships.
  • The incumbent will be forward thinking to identify opportunities for improvement; and work effectively in a collaborative environment where positive relationships are critical to providing high quality service to the end user community.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential. Experience working in a post secondary environment with a good understanding of educational processes and the relevance of technology to teaching and learning would be an asset.
