Job Description

Competition #21-19-AU:Acadia seeks a Manager of Sports Performance in the Athletics Department to raise the level of performance for all Acadia athletes and teams through a collaborative and holistic approach that includes strength and conditioning, injury management/reduction, nutrition and optimizing sport specific practice. The Manager of Sports Performance will manage Acadia's Performance Training programming and initiatives. This will include building client relationships, managing and mentoring strength and conditioning staff, and management of Acadia Athletics Integrated Sports Science Program.QUALIFICATIONS:We are seeking a candidate who has a Bachelor Degree in Health Sciences (Kinesiology/Strength and Conditioning preferred) with experience in high-performance, multi-sport environments at the varsity level.The position requires a strong foundation of knowledge and technical proficiency as well as leadership, education and mentorship skills that facilitate high performance.Applicants must be registered with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and have their Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certificate.Candidates must have or be willing to acquire a valid Standard First Aid and CPR training.The role will require someone who has who is effective in their work, flexible to changing demands and works collaboratively, fostering teamwork.Excellent interpersonal, time management, communication and organizational skills are required for this position.THE REWARDS: Acadia offers a comprehensive benefit package in addition to a starting salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
