This position will be supporting students of Indigenous ancestry in the Western Kings Family of Schools, reporting to the Coordinator of Mi’Kmaq Services/Education. This position is for 8 hours per day.The Native Student Advisor will work directly with Indigenous students to provide support to them and their families in making schooling a positive experience. The goal of the Native Student Advisor is to help students achieve success and remain in school by fostering a positive environment of good will, respect and dignity among students, parents/guardians, teachers and all community members. The Native Student Advisor will be required to work outside of regular school hours in accordance with the Collective Agreement in order to accomplish the goals of the program.Position Requirements:
