  • At least 3 years of paid professional tax preparation experience, using professional tax preparation software
  • A minimum of 125 tax returns prepared per tax season for the past 3 years
  • Experience in preparing various federal and provincial tax returns for individuals, including students, pensioners, self-employed individuals, rental property owners, individuals with investments, and those with foreign income
  • Knowledge of tax laws, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with technical platforms like Windows, mobile devices, and G-suite applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility in availability/schedule
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French (reading, writing, and speaking) is considered an asset
  • Experience in preparing Quebec tax returns (TP1) is considered an asset
  • Experience providing support in a contact center environment is considered an asset
Responsibilities
  • Provide remote tax guidance and support to customers during tax season
  • Collaborate with customers to prepare or review their tax returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Research and address customer tax questions
  • Assist customers in preparing and filing their tax returns with the CRA
  • Research and provide accurate advice on maximizing tax returns
  • Create positive customer interactions based on empathy, tax knowledge, and expertise
  • Utilize government websites and resources to provide the right solutions for customers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer inquiries using company policies and procedures
Compensation: We offer a competitive compensation package with a pay-for-performance rewards approach. The expected base pay for this position is between PEI $25.50 – 34.50, BC $25.50 – 34.50, Nova Scotia $25.50 – 34.50. In addition, you may be eligible for a cash bonus.
