Job Description

Advanced Medical Solutions Inc. (AMS) has an opportunity for a Primary Care Paramedic to relocate to Inuvik, NT and join our Ground Ambulance Service. This is a 6-month contract, ideal for an individual that is looking for growth opportunities as a PCP. Come and experience the North, do not miss your chance for adventure, apply now!!Highlights:

PCP Qualifications:
  • EMT/PCP License – valid & in good standing
  • HCP CPR Provider or BLS
  • WHMIS
  • Class 4 Driver’s License
  • Drivers Abstract – in good standing
  • Vulnerable Sector Check (at least within 90 days)
  • Current Medical & Immunization Record
  • Emergency Vehicle Operator certification or equivalent preferred
PCP Job Responsibilities:
  • Working as part of a team to provide the highest and most effective patient care possible during all phases of the ground transport process and practices.
  • Assess extent of injuries or illness of patients to determine emergency medical treatment required.
  • Responsible for the safe ambulance operations and transport of patients from remote areas to the Inuvik Regional Hospital.
  • Document and record nature of injuries and treatment provided.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment, ambulance, base, and resupply of consumable equipment.
