Job Title: Communications & Engagement CoordinatorDepartment: Human ResourcesReporting to: Head of HRContract: PermanentLocation: York with travel required across the UK on a regular basisWe have an exciting vacancy for a Communications & Engagement Coordinator to join our division and provide Communications and Engagement support to our three business areas:Grand Central Rail (GC)Arriva TrainCare (ATC)Arriva UK Trains Central Support (AUKT)The postholder will be responsible for the creation and implementation of engagement initiatives and strategies that are aligned with business culture and the needs of our people. This role will involve leading on all internal communications ensuring that messaging is tailored to each business whilst ensuring consistent messaging.We are professional with a human touch and what you do matters. Whilst your main office base is in the Grand Central Office in York, frequent travel is required so you must be able to work in an agile way.Previous experience of working in communications and engagement in an operational business is an essential attribute for this role. If you have a creative mind and understand why it is so important to engage people, no matter what role they are undertaking within a business and are passionate about getting the message across we would love to hear from you.The Communication & Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for a range of activity within the below areas:Manage all Internal Communications including the preparation of business updates, the development of business briefings and ad hoc communications in support of our wellbeing and engagement strategies.Coordinate all employee surveys and provide action planning supportBe a key contact for the East Coast Digital Programme (ECDP) project and provide engagement advice and communication delivery.Attend internal and external communicators meetings representing GC, ATC and Division.Collating any news on a weekly basis for sharing across the businesses and uploading appropriate content for visibility of all Arriva employees on OneArriva.Ensure systems and frameworks are developed to evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications and engagement strategies to measure impact and ensure added value.Use data and insights to measure the success of communications and engagement strategies and provide metrics to the Heads of HRManage key stakeholder relationships and deliver a programme of activity that ensures we engage and communicate effectively with our people.The selection process:Please apply online by attaching both a CV and Cover Letter detailing why you believe you are the ideal candidate for the Communications & Engagement Coordinator vacancy at Arriva.
