Our brand and culture is all about moving people, and a belief in ‘better’ runs through everything we do.Operations Assistant (12 Months FTC)The purpose of the role is to provide support to the Planning Team (train planning and diagramming) in STP and LTP tasks and the Train Performance Manager in performance analysis. The post holder will also be responsible for supporting in the preparation of timetable bids in line with the requirements of the Network CodeThe closing date for applications is Monday 22nd August 2022Support in the preparation of train crew diagrams that are robust & deliver a train service that will meet the Grand Central performance targets and issue these in a timely mannerSupport in providing robust rolling stock diagrams for each LTP and STP period to meet commercial specification and fleet maintenance requirements, including giving adequate notice of changesLiaison with Road Transport team as necessary to prepare and deliver cost effective bus plans and taxi road transport arrangementsSupport East Coast Digital Programme as required in train planning mattersSupport Train Performance Metrics and delay attributionManagement of the Team mailboxContribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing improvements to planning and diagramming processes and systemsSupport Arriva’s Voyager Replacement programme as requiredExcellent IT literacyExperience of achieving deadlines and maintaining excellent attention to detailKnowledge of the Grand Central core routesBenefits:The opportunity to work in a friendly, welcoming culture.
