What We Are Hiring As a Cook, you bring the culinary vision of Denny #39;s to life. You are responsible for preparing and presenting food following the Denny #39;s menu, food specifications, and timing standards. Our team is made up of committed, caring, and energetic individuals who make every Denny #39;s location the great and diverse place it is.What You #39;ll Do
  • You will present food to servers in a timely manner while maintaining a very high-quality product for our guests
  • You will help Denny #39;s achieve our mission by adhering to Denny #39;s Brand Standards, recipes and internal policies and procedures
  • You will adhere to all federal, provincial, and local food handling regulations
  • You will maintain food safety and follow food safe procedures
  • You will perform other duties as required or assigned
Who You Are
  • You have cooking experience
  • You are able to read tickets, recipes and product specifications
  • You are able to work with all Denny #39;s menu products
  • You are an effective communicator in English, both orally and in writing
  • You are a team player, collaborative and attentive
  • You are self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask effectively
  • You can lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs
  • You can stand and walk throughout a 4 to 8 hour shift
  • You must be able to legally work in Canada (as a citizen, resident or holding other current and valid work permit)
