  • Evening shift hours (2nd Shift) Monday to Thursday 11:30am to 10:00pm.
  • Pay rate: $26.00/hr + Overtime might be required
  • 40 hours per week
  • 2-year contract
What’s a typical day as a Unit Supervisor You will:
  • Supervise the execution of departmental plans to achieve objectives in safety, quality, schedule, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor individual performance and take corrective action including discipline, as needed, and responds to complaints to ensure the Company and employees adheres to policies, practices, procedures, and work rules.
  • Establish employee environment regarding communications, feedback, and overall guidance.
  • Ensure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully do their job.
  • Work with Safety Team in meeting company standards and enforces safety regulations to prevent and eliminate injuries.
  • Manage and control costs to stay within the department operating budget targets.
  • Coordinate departmental continuous improvement plans and activities.
  • Involve regular hands-on production work in addition to being responsible for evening supervision of second shift (training will be provided).
  • Assist leadership by monitoring individual performance and takes corrective action, as needed, and responds to complaints to ensure the Company and employees adhere to policies, practices, procedures, and work rules.
Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
  • Experience with supervising staff (training will be provided).
  • Experience driving a sit forklift.
  • Have experience in supervising unskilled production, maintenance, or warehouse employees.
  • Have experience in administering employee policies, practices, procedures, and work rules appropriate for the unit.
  • Excellent time management skills to oversee multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment or independently.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have experience supervising a crew of 8-15 workers.
  • Worked at a warehouse environment.
  • Have forklift experience or certification.
