To learn more, please visit https://NFP.ca.The Role at NFPWe’re looking for a Claims Rep to develop and maintain relationships with clients, insurer claims representatives, and adjusting firms on a day-to-day basis. The CR will perform an open claims review and prepare a summary of findings for clients and producers of our Commercial & Transportation divisions.What You’ll Be DoingEnsure that claims review is performed 120 days prior to renewal and then as required, annually, semi-annually, quarterly depending on the amount of claims activityOrganize and attend Claims Client meetings to present findings or Email summary to the clientDevelop a customized claims solution for each customer and conduct Loss Run Analyses as requiredTroubleshoot claims issues between adjuster and insureds/third parties providing the client with updates along the way; negotiating settlements where neededMake certain that follow-ups are completed in a timely fashion when a loss is reported and send an opening noticeWhat You BringIn-depth knowledge of Personal and Commercial property, auto & liability policiesAbility to explain policy wordings in laymen’s termsHighly organized with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Demonstration of a high degree of initiative and independence of action in completing assignments with minimal guidance to ensure that tasks are deliveredAbility to manage a large workload while working in a fast-paced environmentPossess strong analytical and problem-solving skills including excellent negotiation skillsSharp attention to detail with excellent decision-making skillsFlexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines, and technology.Education and/or Experience:Typically, more than 3 years of insurance industry experience – preferably in claimsExperience troubleshooting claims issues between multiple stakeholders preferredExcellent computer skills expected and EPIC fluency an assetExperience in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel and OutlookCertificates, Licenses, Registration:RIBO License in good standing requiredProfessional insurance designation preferred (such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, etc.)What We OfferA competitive wage including Group health and dental benefits from day one, flexible leave days, RRSP matching, and continuing education assistance/reimbursementA Focus on Health & Wellness with an excellent EAP programOpportunities to grow as an insurance professional and advance careerMotivating work atmosphereA global team of insurance experts focused on client retention, growth, industry innovation, and teamworkNFP and You...
