Job Description

  • Leave the work area clean and organized throughout and at the end of shift
  • Ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to food safety, legality, and quality
  • Arrive to work on time and with all tools to perform tasks
  • Responsible for start-up, picking up formulas, and reviewing the mixing schedule
  • Scale ingredients accurately according to current and up-to-date formulas
  • Assist with the loading of ingredients into the mixer
  • Ensure batters are finished in a timely manner- preventing downtime between batches
  • Ensure all variances to formulas are noted and reported to Leadhand and Supervisor
  • Document all ingredients used throughout the shift
  • Document lot numbers of all ingredients used
  • Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and cleanliness of ingredient bins
  • Ensure the scaling and mixing area is neat and clean
  • Prescale area to be cleaned thoroughly on a weekly basis
  • Work closely with mixer and Leadhand
  • Inform Leadhand and Supervisor of any quality issues immediately
  • Adhere to all applicable job procedures as outlined in the SOP manual
  • Adhere to GMPs and Health and Safety rules as outlined in the employee handbook
  • Ensure GMPs and safe food handling practices are being followed
  • Must be available to assist in other positions/departments as required
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Must work with speed and accuracy to keep up with the production process
  • Trained in the operation of the electric pump truck
  • GMP and safety awareness
  • Basic Computer knowledge
