Job Description

Look no further, we have an amazing Op-purr-tunity for you!Beattie Pet Hospital Ancaster, located in the Meadowlands, is currently searching for a Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. Our staff is our work family, we are looking for someone who meets our values and is driven to help us grow, foster relationships and meet our goals (big or small). We are a Fear Free Clinic and working on our Feline Friendly Certification. The front team is the face of the clinic, the first and last interaction clients have with each visit to the clinic.The Responsibilities

  • Handling and soothing animals during examinations, treatments, and vaccinations ("ooooo" and "awwww" over every adorable pet that comes through our doors)
  • Ability to answer a multiline phone system, track and book appointments effectively, placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings
  • Respond and manage email correspondence, schedule appointments
  • Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation and processing payments
  • Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment
  • General housekeeping duties
  • Willingness to learn more regarding; there is so much more to the industry than playing with puppies and kittens. If you are open to learning, we are happy to teach!
The Position
  • Full-time preferrd but we are flexible
  • 9-12 hour shifts (longer shifts, more days off!)
  • Previous Veterinary Clinic or Animal Experience is considered an asset
  • Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality is an asset
