Job Description

The Role at NFPOur growing Commercial Specialty Lines Team is seeking to hire a Team Leader who will work towards creating a trusting People First environment on an award-winning team by building trust & strong relationships for our Ancaster, ON office.You will lead the charge of managing organizational service plans by driving optimal performance through employees and supporting units. You will also be tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of your service team by tracking team goals, setting individual goals & targets, and facilitating monthly one-on-one meetings.What You’ll DoDevelop transportation team through motivation, coaching, and supportive service environmentAct in a way that fosters recognition by sharing successes and celebrate the achievements of othersOversee the daily activities and performance of the commercial specialty lines teamProvide directional and technical guidance of products and systemsFoster a workplace of continuous improvement by listening and making recommendations to improve the client experience (internal and external)Communicate, implement and monitor strategies/initiatives to ensure individual team member and organizational goals are attainedBuild strong relationships with industry markets and other internal Line Leaders (other units, Team Leads, etc.) to ensure alignment of quality of service, workflows and goals meet organizational standardsWhat you BringRIBO License in good standingTypically, more than 5 years of industry and/or Commercial lines experience – brokerage-side or underwritingExposure to transportation, commercial fleet or trucking risks is an assetManagerial courage and delegation skills; ability to effectively prioritize, manage and lead within the scope of authority and escalate decisions appropriatelyEthical, innovative, tolerant, and resilient with collaborative problem-solving abilityProfessional communication and interpersonal skills demonstrating business intelligencePositive and passionate attitude towards customer satisfaction and business achievementsSound organizational time management and achievement orientationSolid working knowledge of computer operating systems including industry software such as EPIC or a similar BMSProfessional insurance designation an asset (such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, etc.)Who We AreWe’re NFP, a 4x Best Places to Work award winner in Insurance, a 5-Star Brokerage award winner from Insurance Business Canada Magazine, and a recognized Elite Agency award winner.
