Aspire Bakeries champions the values of Integrity, Ownership, Customer Focus, Creativity and Care to help us deliver on People Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Collaboration.The Maintenance Manager is responsible for hiring, training, and coordinating activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing process equipment, machinery and buildings.Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the activities of workers engaged in maintenance to promote uptime and eliminate excessive overtime in conjunction with the maintenance planner
  • Assigns workers to duties such as maintenance, repair, or renovation and obtains bids for additional work from outside contractors
  • Directs contracted projects to verify adherence to specifications
  • Estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments in conjunction with the maintenance planner
  • Interprets specifications and job orders to workers
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems
  • Initiates plans to motivate workers to achieve goals
  • Initiates promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures
  • Purchases building and maintenance supplies, machinery and equipment, and furniture
  • Manages the continual improvement and execution of the planned and preventative maintenance program for all site equipment
  • Ensure reliable weekly startup of all production areas
  • Deliver site initiatives relating to Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and People
  • Manage the execution of the preventative maintenance program and continual improvement initiatives
  • Member of Food Safety Committee- Ensure that compliance with the policies and procedures of the facility and Regulatory and Customer requirements are being met
  • Ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to food safety, legality, and quality
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • A college or University degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technical Field is required
  • A technical training certificate, diploma, or university degree in engineering is required
  • 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Required to possess general knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic technical
  • Strong in follow-up - must catch every detail
  • Effective administrator with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively
  • Persistence - will not give up until desired results are attained
  • Effective organizer and ability to multitask
  • Computer literate- Microsoft Productivity Tools especially excel for downtime reporting and budgeting requirements
  • Knowledge of GMPs and HACCP
